Head Event Planner & Volunteer Organizer

Sarrah Zadeh

Sarrah Zadeh brings a lifelong commitment to advocacy, community building, and global awareness to her role as Volunteer and Event Coordinator at Nahid’s Kids. Early in her career, she served as a Volunteer Coordinator with Amnesty International’s Houston chapter, where she also led educational outreach on issues including displaced populations, human rights, and gender-based practices affecting women worldwide. During this time, she also participated as an Ambassador of Peace through Rotary International, where she spent time in the Philippines engaged in cross-cultural dialogue and service.

Her passion for ethical collaboration and economic empowerment led her to found La Mochi in 2013, a socially driven handbag company that partnered directly with Indigenous Wayuu women in Colombia. Through a microfinance-based approach, the business created sustainable income opportunities while helping preserve traditional craftsmanship. A portion of proceeds also supported efforts to combat child trafficking in Colombia.

A full-time artist and mother, Sarrah divides her time between Houston and Colombia. She is honored to support Nahid’s Kids in its work serving foster youth, bringing both her experience and dedication to creating meaningful impact.
